Lionel Messi—probably the best player in the world today. He is one of the finest and most exciting footballing talents in the world. He had this never ending comparison with the former Manchester United Winger Cristiano Ronaldo but he kind of shrugged off it by helping his team defeat Manchester United convincingly in the UEFA Champions League finals at Rome 2009. How did he attain this place at the top of the world? At cloud nine? A forward or attacking midfielder, Messi is blessed with outstanding ball control and pace and has the potential to become one of the finest players the game has seen.

   Social media isn’t normal Everybody wants to be popular, or at least, to be accepted by others. Humans are social beings, and it has always been important evolutionarily speaking for us to not be cast aside by the group. But this usually consisted of a small tribe or group. It certainly has never been normal for humans to seek approval from thousands or millions of people, but that’s exactly what is happening with social media. While it’s normal to seek opinions from your close tribe or family, it’s not normal to seek approval and opinions from strangers in bulk. And this can lead to some seriously odd consequences. When you hear stories about people risking their lives leaning out of train windows on an overpass for the perfect Instagram shot, you know things have become really bizarre. People have become obsessed with seeking approval from millions of strangers, and this has led to, you guessed it, people creating an incredibly fake persona.

  Life on campus can be viewed as a wide spectrum, sort of like white light. It means that campus life cannot really be defined. It is unique in that everyone who joins is starting a new chapter in their lives. The beautiful thing is, one decides what to write on those fresh blank pages. One decides what dreams to chase. Students situations in  many compuses across the country Anyone can walk through those big pearly gates on the first day and decide to chase a first-class honor. Some may get lost on the way and party each day like it’s a weekend. There is the interesting group that looks for marriage partners all through campus. Every day you pass your fellow students walking the halls of the campus, some smiling, some frowning, some deep in thought while others are tired of their own thoughts.   Globally, suicide among children is a significant preventable public health problem, and it is the second leading cause of death among younger people aged 10–24 years. 1  In kenya, a student dies by suicide every hour, and 28 such loss of life occurs every day. 2  During this COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, the suicidal tendency among school children is significantly rising. 3 , 4  Since the beginning of lockdown (March–October), in Nairobi, 173 children, aged 10–18 years, died by suicide. 5  Similar reports from other parts of the world have also shown a significant increase in the deaths of children due to suicide during the lockdown period than the prelockdown period, claiming a 9.3%–33% rise in the number of children presenting with self-harm injuries as well. 6 , 7  Moreover, this is often underreported and neglected from other corners, though it is a grave psychosocial and preventable issue that needs to be addressed promptly.
